The reappearance of someone who was thought to be dead jump-starts a deeply personal investigation in this action-filled Harlan Coben thriller. When would-be medical student Sami Kierce woke after a night of hard partying, he found himself covered in blood and holding a knife, with a dead girl by his side. Twenty-five years later, he’s working as a P.I. when he spots that same supposedly dead woman in a crowd and takes off after her, desperate to understand what happened all those years before. As always, Coben is a master of breathless, suspenseful action, but the author outdoes himself here, putting Sami in a scenario that taps into our nightmares. His dizzying twists sent us spinning as Sami races to unravel the mystery that upended his entire life. With its breakneck plotting and dazzling reveals, Nobody’s Fool kept us up way too late.

Many unexpected twist and turns!
Difficult to put down, a real page turner! Excellent characters. One of the best books that I have read this year.
Overly contrived plot
…and its only well into the book that it becomes evident it is a sequel to another. I will not be reading the other!
