Excellent Story — Terrible Audio Quality
Apple’s download clearly has something wrong with it. The audio was scratchy and popped so loudly it hurt my ears, also effectively making long sections of content complete inaudible. The voice actors for these audiobooks are fantastic and do the story justice. Definitely buy it, but not from Apple.
Tremendous story & reading, terrible transfer.
I once owned these audiobooks on CD, but lost them somehow amidst many moves. I’ve been excitedly sharing them with my kids via these audiobooks on iTunes, but during chapter 11 (a very pivotal part of the story), there is so much digital distortion and skipping, it’s practically unlistenable. Very disappointing.
