Oprah is a big fan of spiritual teacher Eckhart Tolle’s bestseller The Power of Now, a guide to living in the present moment rather than the past or future. Tolle’s 2005 follow-up builds on that concept by focusing on how self-criticism and anxiety can interfere with mindfulness. The main premise of A New Earth is that creating a sense of separation from ourselves and our negative thoughts allows us to overcome insecurities. Tolle explores that concept from many interesting new angles in different chapters—the result is a soothing read that left us feeling reenergized.

Great message, Clunky Audiobook
I love Eckhart. I love this audiobook. But why did they not label each track like they did on “Power of Now”?. I want to go back and revisit specifc topics from time to time and this audiobook makes that aspect such a headache. I need to reference the chapters in the physical books to find the location on the audio book (labelled simply as “track 2, track 3, etc)……someone in charge of the digital medium, please change this! I would rate it 5/5 with this fixed. Otherwise, it’s a 4/5.

4th time reading it. It’s a life book, that I will likely read annually to keep grounded.
